Week two @ Blackbird studio. Making our new record! Things are progressing really fast, I'm freakin a little over the sounds we're getting. Really Great! Looking forward to getting into the vocal booth and getting the album finished and out to the fans where it belongs! Play on dave, play on...
Jake is at it again in the studio, he's tracking with Bogner and Deizel Heads, so his tone is crazy! They hooked him up with a prototype Gibson Les Paul Baritone, the things sounds like a tank! Great tone! He should finish his parts on the first song (Double Life) today. We are all having a great time in the studio and couldn't ask to work with a better Producer than Nick Raskalinecz. He just gets what we do and is helping to bring the best out of all of us. Stoked for you guys to hear this record!
Adam is back in the drum room today knockin' out more tunes. Sounds amazing BTW. After today we will be off for a few day, can anyone say BAR-B-QUE! Tuesday we start guitars!
We rolled into Blackbird Studio (Studio A) this morning to finally start recording the new album! Adam's drums are being set up and the engineers are starting to get the sounds dialed in. Sounds Massive!
Just started Pre-Production for the new album with our producer Nick Raskulinecz. Adam is beating his drums so hard, his hands should be nothing but blisters by the time he's done:) Stoked!
It's official, the last of the band just arrived in Tennessee. We As Human has now found a new home in Nashville, TN. It was exhausting getting 15 people and all of our stuff moved over 2,000 miles, but, it is done.

Well, We survived the great New York City "Blizzard" of 2011! An event that will live in history for sure. We were in our hotel room just one block from Times Square when we received word from our management that all our flights home the next day were canceled due to the ensuing blizzard that was about to pummel NYC and bring an end to all happiness as we know it. It hit alright, we watched in terror as snow flakes the size of guitar picks began falling from the sky! Not full sized guitar picks, more like Jazz II's. It got so deep in some places, we could barely see the sidewalks! The poor residence of NYC had to resort to clearing sidewalks with water squeegees! I am just thankful we all got out with our lives and were able to see our families again!
Sitting here in my studio in Sandpoint, ID thinking about this last year brings a pretty big smile to these cheeks of mine. Two new AMAZING geetar players, A new Record deal, songs coming our our ears and the greatest fans in the whole flippin world! I definitely have a ton to be thankful for as this Christmas rolls in like a Monster truck at a redneck Winter Wonder Slam.
I spent some time last weeks with my family building a gingerbread house and trying to put together a Christmas countdown calendar. It seems like those are fun things to do until you're three hours into it, your shirt is covered in frosting and you can't figure out how to make those stupid candies STAY ON THE ROOF! Uh........ sorry bout that...... writing this is like re-living it all over again.
Be that as it may, we have been enjoying this Christmas season and hope you are all doing the same. Keep your family close and We As Human closer this year:) Merry Christmas to all and to all a GOOD.........time....day? Life!?! nope, that's not it either....TO ALL A GOOD YEAR! DANG IT! Hello everyone, hopefully you all are staying warm, dry and healthy. It's been pretty cold up here in the Northwest and the snow has been falling, piling up on the ground and in the mountains (for sking and snowboarding, yeah). Working on a lot of new material for when we get into the studio next year, and we will be bringing some great new music to all of our WAH fans. Wishing everone a joyfull Christmas season with family and friends, can't wait to come out and ROCK with you ALL again soon. Peace
Well, it's getting cold outside and all the leaves are on the ground. It won't be long until there is as bunch of snow and we will all be socked in for the winter here in the Northwest. Ugggg. The band is writing new tunes like crazy and we are really excited, look forward to the new album in 2011. We are also in the process of putting together a Spring tour starting around mid March, so keep an eye on our schedule for up coming dates. Peace
What's up Humans?! The trailor's packed, and our rawkfists are ready as we're gearing up to hit the road tomorrow morning! First stop is Sunnyside, Washington. Tomorrow night, 6pm @ the Sunnyside Community Center, be prepaired to sweat! Then on to Sequim to tear the house down at Kings Way Foursquare for a Halloween show to end them all! So come out and bring the house down wih us! We're expecting to see some SWEET costumes! Well, I'm out for now, I've got The Office to catch! Come out and rock with us this weekend! Dave here! It's gettin colder up here in the North West and the first signs of fall were on my windshield this morning. :) The boys and I have been writing like crazy. Justin F and Jake were just surprised with two new Kona guitars (Thanks Mark!). A couple of the guys just got returned from NYC after getting to spend some time at ground zero. They said it's something they'll never forget. Make sure to check our schedule and come see us on the road!
24 hours straight traveling, 5 states, 7 gas station stops, 2 hour doctrinal study and PopRocks for breakfast....Gotta love life on the road:) We'll be arriving in marietta, IL in about 8 more hours for a week of shows their we push further east. Amped to see our friends across the states again as we hop from coast to coast.

Looks like Summertime is sneaking it's way upon us (much faster in some areas of the nation than others!) and in the world of music, Summer means festivals! And on that note, We As Human is PUMPED to hit the road this week on our way to Marietta, IL for Cornerstone 2010! It will be our first year to play the MASSIVE festival and we will be rocking it each night at the Ammunition room. We've teamed up with Live Offensively (.com) to run our own stage and host a slew of bands from all around the country.
From Cornerstone, we'll drive out to Creation East in PA for another first time appearance. 1:00pm on Friday July 2nd, is a day and time that will make the history books as we melt the faces of poor innocent fans who never saw it coming!!! Our stay will be cut extremely short as we hop in the van and head back to Marietta, IL for one last day at Cornerstone, then it's off to Vegas we go! It's looking like we'll be making our way through the South as we pass through the Texas Pan Handle into New Mexico (my home state!). I'll actually get to spend the night at home in Portales, NM for an evening when we play in Clovis, but once again, it will be a short stop in our voyage to Las Vegas, NV.
We As Human is honored to have been asked to play with Project 86 for Divided We Fall, a Human Trafficing Awareness fundraiser. We are all very excited to be apart of this event as well as share the stage with some fantastic bands.
And on a last note, we would like to thank EVERYONE who voted for us in the Rock The Camp competition! As first runners up, we will open for Toby Mac in Nashville, TN for the conclusion of the second week of Camp Electric on July 21st. This is two days before we will be taking stage at Creation West in Enumclaw, WA for our 3rd year at Creation. As always, we are stoked, and and we look forward to seeing you on the road. With the "new and improved" band, it will not be We As Human as usual!

It's official, the booking for our 2010 touring has started and the first two confirmations are CreationFest West and CreationFest East. Our 1st years playing both of them. Gonna be a great year!

So, as if I didn't already love my peeps at PRS Guitars for hooking us up with the sickest Guitars on the planet, I called them today to get a couple Q's answered and they answered with more guitar upgrades! I can't prove this but I think our guitar tone is what causes the earthquakes, I'm just sayin';)
I'll never forget this day! We started it by going to Niagra falls for the first time and as if that wasn't enough, we ended the day by watching the sun go down over Lake Erie. Uh......Yeah:)
So we're in the middle of "Festival Season" and we happen to be on the east coast as I speak. Other then the humidity, it's great over here.
We just played Kingdombound Fest in Darrien Lake, NY and we couldn't have asked for a better day for it. It took place in a six flags theme part so of course we had to tackle the biggest baddest coaster in the park! We've had a great time on the east coast so far and look forward to seeing all you crazy mid-westerners again on our way back through.

It's gonna be sweet like sweet tea from the dirty south at a BBQ joint were the waiter keeps looking at you funny and you can never relax because eveytime you look turn around he looks away like he's not looking but you know he is because your friends keep whispering "Dude, That guy is looking at you for some reason", so you get nervous and start wondering if there is somthing on your face, but, THEN IT HITS YOU...............this must be what the new We As Human album is gonna be like! Yep.................pretty much exactly like that.

One of my favorite things about flying is getting cans of water during the flight. It's wierd, I know, but, I like it:)
Last time we flew, we asked for so many snacks that when we left the plane the stewardesess handed us a garbage bag full of snacks for the road. Thank you southwest!ha
