TobyMac, Skillet and LeCrae Join Forces to Thrill Crowds on Summer Shed Tour
Three of the industry’s best selling, most-awarded and critically acclaimed artists to hit seven select markets this May
Nashville, Tenn. (February 19, 2014) - Three of the industry’s best-selling, most-awarded and critically acclaimed artists, TobyMac, Skillet and LeCrae, are joining forces to thrill crowds on an exclusive summer shed tour. With each act also known for their energetic and diverse live performances, fans in each of the select seven cities are sure to get the show of a lifetime. Tickets go on sale to the mass public on March 1, with a special presale for artist fan clubs at 10am local venue time on February 27 through 10pm on February 28.
Since last fall and continuing through April, TobyMac has been touring the country on his "Hits Deep Tour." The national tour has been selling out venues and playing to packed houses including an emotional set at the Madison Square Garden theatre in New York City. Last week, cable's top-rated morning show Fox & Friends and VEVO.com world premiered the GRAMMY® winner’s music video for his current multi-week No. 1 hit “Speak Life” from his GRAMMY®-award winning and No. 1 Billboard 200 record, EYE ON IT. Currently the video has been viewed over 100,000 times and can be seen here.
After spending last fall rocking Europe opening for Nickelback, Skillet kicked off the year co-headlining The Roadshow, and will tour with Third Day on 20 more domestic dates throughout the spring. Skillet was recently named HM Magazine’s Best Band of 2013, New Release Tuesday’s Best Rock/Alternative Artist or Group of 2013, and their best-selling 2013 release RISE was named mainstream online rock site Loudwire’s Best Rock Album, besting Pearl Jam, Avenged SevenFold and more. Loudwire and NewReleaseTuesday.com recently debuted the music video for Skillet’s latest No. 1 Christian rock single, “Not Gonna Die,” which is also climbing the mainstream active rock chart, currently at No. 11 with a bullet.
Since the release of Lecrae’s GRAMMY® award winning album Gravity, Lecrae’s mainstream and Christian audiences and platforms have continued to expand, reflected in his features in TIME, Entertainment Weekly, XXL, The Source, Vibe, and other mainstream media outlets. He was named the NFL Players Choice Performer during Super Bowl XLVII Weekend in New Orleans, due to his positive lyrical messages over hard and gritty hip-hop beats, which appeals to a generation of fans that find his music not only enlightening but also entertaining. Finishing up his tour with Rock the Bells this past fall, Lecrae released the second volume of his mixtape series, Church Clothes, which sold over 40K units after being downloaded over 150,000 times. Lecrae is currently co-headlining Winter Jam with the Newsboys, which has been Pollstar's Worldwide 1st Quarter Ticket Sales Chart topping tour for the past three years.

The three-day camping festival, featuring the top current active rock artists and classic bands, is presented by Bud Light. The current band lineup for the 8th Rocklahoma is as follows: Kid Rock, Five Finger Death Punch, Staind, Twisted Sister, Deftones, Seether, Motörhead, Jackyl, Filter, Black Label Society, Theory of a Deadman, Killswitch Engage, Skid Row, All That Remains, Tom Keifer of Cinderella, Hellyeah, Kix, Down, Pop Evil, Adelitas Way, Black Stone Cherry, Trivium, Texas Hippie Coalition, The Pretty Reckless, Thousand Foot Krutch, Redlight King, Skindred, KYNG, We As Human, Nothing More, Devour the Day, Heaven’s Basement, Gemini Syndrome, Butcher Babies, Eve to Adam, Truckfighters, Killer Dwarfs, Bai Bang, Lynam, ASKA, Black Tora, Firstryke, Mystery, Nasty Habit, Sleepy Hollow, Wicked, Down & Dirty, Loveblast, Ruff Justice, Ratchet Dolls, Ragdoll, Dellacoma, Chaotic Resemblance, Scattered Hamlet, Siren, Mach22, Tempt, London's Dungeon, Mine Enemies Fall, The Chimpz, Sleepwalking Home, Well Hung Heart, Framing The Red, Blackwater Rebellion, Dryver, and Dirty Crush.
“I initially questioned whether or not we would be able to top last year’s Rocklahoma lineup this time around,” says Joe Litvag, Rocklahoma’s co-executive producer for AEG Live. “But with some of the biggest names in the rock world today like Kid Rock, Five Finger Death Punch, Seether and Deftones playing alongside Rocklahoma legends like Twisted Sister, Jackyl, Tom Kiefer of Cinderella and Kix, there is not a doubt in my mind that we just raised the bar! Memorial Day Weekend will never be the same!”
Dee Snider of Twisted Sister explains, "I view this festival as sort of a ‘Royal Rumble’ of rock; it's every band for itself, each trying to claim the belt. When Twisted Sister is done that night, the promoters are going to need to change the name of the event to 'I Wanna Rocklahoma'!"
Staind’s Mike Mushok says, "Totally stoked to play Rocklahoma again! I'm looking forward to a great day of music shared with some amazing fans!”

Established in 2007 as a classic rock destination festival with the motto “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Rock,” Rocklahoma was revamped in 2010 as organizers teamed with AEG Live to create an event encompassing a much broader mix of classic, current and up-and-coming rock artists. In 2012, a national television audience was able to experience many Rocklahoma band performances in HD when AXS TV aired live coverage of the festival. 2013 saw record crowds when over 50,000 fans turned out for Rocklahoma. The festival remains committed to its community, and to date, the festival has raised over $150,000 for local tornado relief efforts.
Rocklahoma is proud to be sponsored by Bud Light, U.S. Cellular, Jägermeister, Hard Rock Casino, Route 66 RVs and Jack Daniel’s.

“I have a long term plan to make Jacksonville a destination music city. That plan starts with showcasing Met Park to the world. There were people who wanted to ban music from the Park, and there was no way I was going to let that happen. We fought to keep rock alive and are excited to be returning to Metropolitan Park for the fourth year in a row,” says Monster Energy’s Welcome To Rockville producer Danny Wimmer. “This year’s lineup is stronger than ever. Monster Energy’s Welcome To Rockville has become a top destination music festival that draws people from around the country to downtown Jacksonville and the surrounding areas.”
Monster Energy's Welcome To Rockville is part of the Florida kickoff--along with Monster Energy’s Fort Rock in Fort Myers--of the World’s Loudest Month. The World’s Loudest Month features the biggest names in rock music performing in six distinct concert atmospheres across the country on five consecutive weekends.
Monster Energy’s Welcome To Rockville is produced by Danny Wimmer of Danny Wimmer Presents, who also produces Monster Energy’s Fort Rock Festival, Monster Energy’s Aftershock Festival, Rockwave, and The Big Ticket. Wimmer is also one of the partners in the massively successful Rock On The Range, Epicenter--Southern California’s Rock Festival, Monster Energy’s Rock Allegiance Tour, and Carolina Rebellion. Sponsors for the 2014 event include Monster Energy, Ernie Ball Guitar Strings, Metro PCS, Jägermeister, Jack Daniel’s, f.y.e., The Crazy Dave's Music Experience, and Jack Link’s Beef Jerky.
Metropolitan Park offers a scenic, spacious site for Monster Energy’s Welcome To Rockville that’s just a few hours drive from cities including Orlando, Tampa, Gainesville, Savannah and Tallahassee, and is easily accessible by plane from around the country.
